The story that articulates this year's children's falla proposes an adventure to the children of the commission; We put ourselves in the shoes of Amèlia, a young explorer who discovers fantastic creatures and captures them in the notebook that her grandfather, another great explorer, left her. Through this guiding thread, a series of activities are articulated with the children, resulting in a set of drawings of dinosaurs and other fantastic creatures made by themselves.
The Llibret assumes and strengthens this story, taking the form of an old explorer's Logbook, reflecting the investigations of Amèlia and her grandfather, collecting the drawings of the children of the commission and leaving enough space for each one to complete the notebook with more fantastic creatures from his future expeditions.
To accompany and enhance the idea of the llibret, its edition is made with reference to those old notebooks, using heavyweight craft paper on the covers and a more yellowish tone paper on the interiors, with a stapled binding. The interior design contributes to the style, taking shape as a series of “cards” where all the contents of the book appear as notes and hand-made drawings or photographs that simulate having been pasted.
In this way, the children of the commission, when they read the llibret and fill in the rest of the sheets with their own drawings, will be able to feel like they are participating in the adventures of Amèlia and her grandfather, and become great explorers, too.
